What to expect on your first visit

Brief Paperwork

You can download your admitting paper work from our website and complete them prior to your appointment. If not, we ask you to please arrive ten to fifteen minutes earlier than your scheduled appointment time, so you have sufficient time to complete the paper work. After doing so you will meet Dr. Frasco, and he will give you a complete tour of our facilities.

Consultation

The next step is a brief consultation with you, during which the doctor will get in depth information about you and your problem. This will allow him to determine which exams and x-rays need to be performed.

Exam

The exam will include a complete postural assessment, range of motion tests, palpation, a computerized thermographic scan of your full spine (Paraspinal Digital Infrared Imaging), appropriate Orthopedic/Neurological tests and any other specific tests that the doctor decides you might need. This will help in properly localizing your problem and making the appropriate diagnosis.

Paraspinal Digital Infrared Imaging (PDII)

Paraspinal digital infrared imaging (PDII) is a non-invasive, painless, computerized, thermographic (heat measuring) instrument. This state-of-the-art technology developed by a former NASA engineer is used to detect irritation to the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and is performed by moving a sensitive scanning device along the spine.

X-ray

The appropriate x-rays will be taken to provide the doctor with valuable information regarding the health of your spine and help rule out more serious conditions that may need other types of treatment. X-rays also help in determining the appropriate treatment plan for your condition.

We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your first visit at our office is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. We will explain all procedures in advance every step of the way, so you can make smart and informed decisions regarding your health.

Dr. Joe Asks some important questions of interest to New Providence residents - Chiropractor New Providence Dr. Joe Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
